You can delete your OceanPulse account, and the data we keep with it, at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete your account in the app#
On iPhone or iPad#
- Open the OceanPulse app.
- Open the main Menu.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- When the prompt reads “This permanently deletes your account and all account data. This cannot be undone.”, tap Delete to confirm.
You may be asked to sign in again with Apple or Google first, to confirm it’s really you.
On Android#
- Open the OceanPulse app.
- On Home, tap ⋮ at the top right.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- When the prompt reads “This permanently deletes your account and all account data. This cannot be undone.”, tap Delete to confirm.
- Choose the Google account you signed in with, to confirm it’s really you.
Once the deletion finishes, you’re signed out of the app.
What gets deleted#
Your account and its data are deleted from OceanPulse’s servers. This includes your profile (name and email), your forecast alerts, and your devices’ notification tokens. A live track you’re sharing ends, and its positions are deleted.
Some things are kept:
- Your markers, routes, and tracks aren’t stored on our servers, so they stay on your device until you delete them or remove OceanPulse. On iPhone and iPad they also stay in your iCloud.
- Web links you’ve shared stay active. To turn one off, email hello@oceanpulseapp.com.
- Your subscription isn’t cancelled. On iPhone or iPad, manage or cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Records of your purchases stay with Apple or Google, and with RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions for us.
Don’t have the app anymore?#
Email hello@oceanpulseapp.com from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. We’ll confirm when it’s done, within 30 days.
See our Privacy Policy for more about the data we keep.
